Malunggay dish with lemon grass

crisonthesidelines.wordpress.com sept 4, 2008

There is a very fast and easy way of preparing malunggay dish with lemon grass. My husband prefer lemon grass than onion these days because he is hypertensive although his blood pressure level is now normal.

Ingredients:

Malunggay

lemon grass (tanglad)

Procedure:

Boil water. Two or three cups will do, depending on how much malunggay you want to cook.

When it boils, add lemon grass.

Simmer for 1-3 minutes.

Add salt

add malunggay. turn off.

Voila you have easy malunggay soup.

Note: If you have more time, when the water boils you may incorporate any of the following before you add the lemon grass:

grilled fish

fresh fish

ground meat (chicken without skin, pork or beef)

and, as Meg Si posted on her blog, she added tofu to her malunggay recipe. (http://www.filipinovegetarianrecipes.blogspot.com/

When the fish or meat is cooked, add malunggay. Serve immediately.
